Egyptian giants Zamalek SC have reportedly outlined plans to appoint a foreign head coach, amid strong links to South African tactician Pitso Mosimane.
The White Knights have been without a head coach for nearly two months following the dismissal of Portuguese mentor Jose Peseiro, who was let go after failing to meet the club’s expectations.

Since then, several names have been linked to the vacant position, with Mosimane reportedly emerging as a leading candidate to succeed Peseiro.
Affectionately known as "Jingles," the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach has been a free agent since leaving Iranian club Esteghlal in January.
While Zamalek have yet to officially disclose any names from their shortlist, reports have consistently suggested that Mosimane is under serious consideration for the role.
Latest updates from Egypt indicate that Zamalek are actively pursuing a foreign coach, with new sporting director John Edward and the club's management currently assessing potential candidates names.
"Zamalek officials have asked John Edward to expedite the appointment of the club's first-team coach, these demands are part of the club's efforts to prepare the team for the upcoming season and ensure its readiness for the Egyptian Premier League and continental competitions," A source said to Saudion Portal.
"This issue is a top priority for the club's management following the departure of former coach Ayman El-Ramady. Edward has already begun reviewing the team's files, particularly the new coach's file.
"Information indicates that the management is keen to achieve rapid technical stability to face the upcoming challenges. This stability is a key factor for the club, especially as competition is set to intensify next," the source added.

"There is talk within the club's management about a number of foreign names being considered for the technical position. Although a decision on the new coach has not yet been made, John Edward is carefully reviewing the resumes of the candidates. The next coach is expected to have the experience necessary to handle the pressure."
It remains to be seen whether Mosimane will be offered the opportunity to lead the team, as he is reportedly viewed as the front-runner heading into the new season.
