Shalulile chase heats up as another African giant 'enters' race

The race to secure the signature of Mamelodi Sundowns’ prolific striker Peter Shalulile is heating up, with another African powerhouse reportedly entering the mix.

Shalulile, who has already attracted attention from several top clubs across the continent, is at the centre of one of the most talked-about transfer sagas of the current window.

According to KickOff sources, the Namibian international and Masandawana have mutually agreed to part ways, despite the player still having a year left on his contract.

It has long been speculated that Shalulile was seeking a move away from the reigning Betway Premiership champions following the arrival of head coach Miguel Cardoso in December 2024.

Shortly after news broke of his impending departure, reports surfaced suggesting that Tunisian giants Esperance de Tunis were leading the race to sign the highly-rated forward.

Shalulile has been consistently linked with a move to the North African heavyweights, but recent developments hint at a possible bidding war, as more clubs are said to be now expressing serious interest.

Reports from across the continent now indicate that Sudanese giants Al Hilal have also entered the race to land the 31-year-old striker, who has dazzled for the Tshwane giants since 2020.

Adding to the intrigue, several reports have claimed that a club from Saudi Arabia has initiated talks with Downs over a potential deal, further intensifying speculation about the striker's next move.

With interest in Shalulile growing rapidly and several leagues set to kick off this month, all eyes are on where the prolific goal-scorer will ply his trade in the upcoming season.
