MAS Fez are currently coached by former AmaZulu boss Pablo Franco Martin, who is familiar with Mabasa, having come up against him during his time in the PSL.
Mabasa was one of the Buccaneers' standout performers last season, netting 15 goals across all competitions, a tally that drew attention from several clubs across the continent.
Recent reports have suggested the 28-year-old forward could be on his way to North Africa. However, his agent, Gary Cassisa, has firmly denied any imminent move, stating that Mabasa is not leaving Pirates.
Cassisa confirmed MAS Fez’s interest in the Free State-born striker but insisted that he remains committed to the Sea Robbers.
"Yes, there has been interest from Mas Fez, but Tshegofatso Mabasa remains committed to Orlando Pirates only," Cassisa told Soccer Laduma.
"He is closing in on the club's all-time leading goal scorer record and would like to make history with the Soweto giants."

Despite his form last season, the highly rated striker has yet to feature under new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou this campaign, with Bucs having already suffered two league defeats.
Mabasa will be hoping to make the matchday squad when Pirates face Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-finals on Saturday at the Orlando Stadium.
