Amakhosi will kick off their Confederation Cup campaign with a trip to Luanda, Angola, to take on Kabuscorp, the reigning champions of the 2024/25 Angolan Cup.
The first-leg fixtures of the preliminary round are scheduled to take place between 19 and 21 September, with the return legs set for 26 to 28 September 2025.
The Glamour Boys are making their return to continental football this season after clinching the 2025 Nedbank Cup, where they defeated rivals Orlando Pirates in the final.
Chiefs last appeared in continental football in the 2021 CAF Champions League final, where they lost to Al Ahly, a run that can still serve as a strong warning to their opponents.
However, Kabuscorp head coach Beto Bianchi has acknowledged the stature of Nasreddine Nabi's Chiefs in African football but remains confident that his side has what it takes to cause an upset.
"Kaizer Chiefs is a traditional club in African competitions, but we have our arguments. Nowadays soccer is pretty much equal. It will be tough for both teams," he is quoted by Pan Africa Football.
