A Ugandan star says he is already looking ahead to their decisive clash against Bafana Bafana, which could determine whether they qualify or are eliminated from the 2024 CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).
South Africa have two games remaining in the CHAN 2024 group stage, with only Niger and co-hosts Uganda still to play.
They will first face Niger on Friday, 15 August, before meeting Uganda on Monday, 18 August.

Uganda’s only remaining match is against Bafana, and they currently sit on six points after three games.
As a result, Uganda Cranes players have admitted they are fully focused on next Monday’s crucial clash against Molefi Ntseki’s team.
"We thank God for this moment. It’s something I’ve worked hard for and, most importantly, for the three points we’ve earned,” said Uganda goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa, according to the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
"Following the loss to Algeria in the first game, we knew every match from then on was like a cup final, and the next one will be no different. South Africa are a strong side, so we have to regroup and prepare well."
Another Uganda star, Allan Okello, also stressed their focus on the Bafana game.
"It wasn’t an easy match [against Niger], but we were prepared and fought for the nation,” the attacking midfielder said.
“When I stepped up for the penalty, I was a little nervous, and unfortunately, it didn’t go in. Luckily, the rebound came my way and I made it count. Now our focus shifts fully to the last game against South Africa."
