One of the Tanzania-based stars linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs is now treading a similar path to Stephane Aziz Ki.
Aziz Ki was widely considered the best player in the Tanzanian Premier League over the past few seasons.
As a result, he attracted significant interest from South Africa, with giants such as Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and Mamelodi Sundowns all linked with the Burkinabe before he eventually joined Wydad Athletic Club.

Among his achievements, Aziz Ki won the 2023/24 Golden Boot in the Tanzanian top flight after scoring 21 goals that season.
Now, another player linked with Chiefs could follow in his footsteps by winning this season’s Golden Boot in Tanzania.
According to SportPesa Tanzania, Simba SC star Jean Charles Ahoua is currently leading the race with 16 league goals.
His closest challenger is Clement Mzize, who is second with 13 goals.
Chiefs are understood to be on the lookout for a prolific forward, as their 2024/25 top scorer was Glody Lilepo — a January 2025 signing — who netted six goals in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.
Amakhosi’s two centre-forwards, Ranga Chivaviro and Ashley Du Preez, scored a combined total of nine goals last season — painting a rather grim picture of the team’s apparent lack of firepower in front of goal.
