Lately, it was reported that Saudi Pro League side Al-Hazem are eager to sign the 26-year-old, while Russian Premier League outfit FC Dynamo Makhachkala have also emerged as a potential suitor.

In addition, fellow Russian side FK Khimki have also reportedly tabled a transfer bid of $800,000 (approximately R14.6 million) to secure Mokwana’s signature.

Despite these developments, Esperance spokesperson Walid Guerfala told Mosaique FM that the club has not yet received any official offers for Mokwana. However, he did confirm that the club has received informal inquiries about the Bafana Bafana winger ahead of the new season.

Back in South Africa, Mokwana has been linked with a possible return to the Betway Premiership, with Mamelodi Sundowns believed to be monitoring his situation closely.

While confirming that four players are expected to leave the club, Guerfala also added that Esperance’s management will review and consider offers for Mokwana once they are officially submitted.

"There are four players who are not training with the group due to technical choices," Guerfala said on Mosaique FM.

"Therefore their departure has become almost certain, whether on loan or by terminating their contracts.
