The seasoned tactician joined the Egyptian Premier League giants in 2020 from Mamelodi Sundowns, taking over from Swiss mentor Rene Weiler.

Following his success with the Red Castle, the 60-year-old manager was succeeded by another Swiss coach Marcel Koller, who also went on to win two Champions League titles with the club.

Now, having worked with all the above-mentioned coaches, former Ahly star Mohamed Sherif has revealed who was the best manager for him amongst the three.

"The coach I loved working with the most was Pitso Mosimane, because he was good to me and encouraged me a lot," Sherif said, per Ahdath-alyom.

Moreover, current Al Ahly defender Yasser Ibrahim echoed Sherif's sentiments.

"Under Weiler, I missed playing time due to injury, and after my return, I wasn't even on the matchday roster. I still don't understand why," said Ibrahim, per Btolat.

"If I had to rank Al Ahly's coaches, I would say Pitso Mosimane is the best, followed by Weiler and then Koller."
