A total of 66 supporters have been hospitalised after reportedly clashing during the Kenyan Premier League game between Shabana FC and Gor Mahia on Sunday.
Mahia, who were the away side, emerged victorious with a score of 1-0, courtesy of midfielder Sylvester Wanyama's late goal.
As reported by the Star, chaos erupted suddenly amongst Mahia and Shabana supporters before the kickoff, with some fans seen throwing stones at each other from the stands.

According to the reports, several fans sustained injuries during the altercation, with 66 being confirmed to be hospitalized and Mahia has since released a statement regarding the incident.
"We witnessed very sad moments at Gusii Stadium before the game as fans engaged in chaos, as a result, police confirm 66 fans got injured and admitted to KTRH and RAM Hospital in Kisii," Gor Mahia stated.
"Two fans sustained skull fractures, quick recovery to all our fans who got injured."
The Kenya Football Federation has also expressed its concerns, condemning the actions made by fans during the match.

"FKF strongly condemns all forms of violence in our stadiums, football must remain a sport that brings people together - not one that puts lives at risk," reads FKF statement.
"The safety and well-being of fans, players, and officials remain a top priority for the Federation. We are working closely with the relevant authorities to establish the circumstances that led to the unrest.
"Decisive disciplinary measures will be taken upon conclusion of ongoing investigations."
