Jurgen Klopp's modest opel a vast contrast to Liverpool superstars vehicles

Fresh after securing a historic Premier League title, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp rocked up to training in a modest 'family car' in comparison to some of the superstars like Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The 53-year-old German achieved the unthinkable five years since his arrival on Merseyside by leading the English club to their first league title in three decades.

A feat of toppling Pep Guardiola's incredible Manchester City squad after the near-miss in the 2018/19 season speaks to the incredible mindset he's instilled within the Reds squad.

And as their manager and leader, his modest choice of vehicle in the form of an Opel Insignia typifies his character, having described himself as 'the normal one' at his official unveiling in 2015.

No desire to flaunt - The Klopp effect

The Insignia which starting price is £18,000 (R380 000) is a far cry from the luxury sports cars and SUV's that pull up at Melwood on a daily basis.

Mane and Salah arrived this week in matching Bentley Continental's which price ranges between R3m and R4m based on the engine type and extras included.

Roberto Firimino rocked up in a bright yellow Lamborghini Urus worth a staggering R5.2-million while the likes of Andy Robertson and Fabinho's lavish rides can also be seen in the gallery above.

Did you know?

Klopp has been a brand ambassdor for Opel since 2012.

Your thoughts, please?

Do you think the flashy lifestyle of cars and other extravagant spending affects football players' careers?
