It is understood that 31-year-old Isaacs was given the boot today following an internal disciplinary hearing regarding a theft case which transpired at Ikamva on Saturday.
snl24.com/kickoff has been informed that Isaacs allegedly stole a pair of soccer boots belonging to Ajax’s former Dutch mentor Foppe de Haan.
“To top it all off, he intended to bring it back claiming that he picked it up outside in the parking area,” a source close to Ajax told our website.
“But he’s already been spotted on the camera and one can clearly see what his motives were. It’s a very sad situation and I see no reason for any player to do something like that. He should have known better,” the source concluded.
The former Santos man made just eight appearances for the club this season, none of which were under coach Muhsin Ertugral.
Ajax’s media officer Shooz Mekuto confirmed that Isaacs’ contract has been terminated.
“Yes, he has been released with immediate effect,” Mekuto confirmed.
