French manufacturers Le Coq Sportif has since been confirmed as the new shirt sponsor to usher the national football teams into a new era but no official kit has been launched by SAFA yet.
With the coronavirus pandemic halting international football, so too has the progress of the new kit launch but in the interim, some spectacular concepts have been put forward on social media in recent weeks.
None more so than local designer Lwazi Ngcungama of Freewayarts Design who clearly took inspiration of the 1996 AFCON triumph and the 1998 FIFA World Cup debut shirts.
With home, away and third choice kits have been showcased with the latest technical sponsor and while it's unlikely that it will be the official gear for Bafana - it does evoke some incredible memories of a glorious football era for the nation.
