Manchester City unveil striking 2022/23 home kit

Manchester City have officially unveiled their striking new home kit for the 2022/23 season.

The Premier League leaders have continued their partnership with PUMA after signing a massive deal with the sportswear brand in 2019, with their latest playing strip inspired by club legend Colin Bell.

Interestingly, the new design sees City's club and manufacturing logos being shifted to the centre of the shirt, with the Etihad Airways branding and the PUMA icon both in navy as opposed to 2021/22 shirt which had them in white, while there is also a maroon and white trim on the collar and sleeves.

"Sitting among the pantheon of extraordinary footballers that have graced the Manchester City shirt is Colin Bell," a statement on the club's official website read.

"One of City's greatest ever players, Bell was inspirational for the club for a decade and in 1967/68, he was the driving force in a side that won its first league title in 31 years.

"As one of City's biggest icons, the new home kit pays tribute to Bell and the City sides of that era.

"Bell was a huge fan favourite for his incredible athleticism and limitless stamina. He was the beating heart of the side.

"The new 2022/23 home kit echoes the classic designs of the past, placing the club crest at the centre of the light blue jersey with signature maroon trims on the sleeve cuffs."
