The Dube Birds have parted ways with numerous players after strike action due to salary disagreements. The players in question faced a disciplinary hearing after the club defaulted on two Premiership fixtures against Mamelodi Sundowns and Lamontville Golden Arrows.

Swallows were subsequently fined R1 million, with R600 000 suspended. Both games were recorded as walk-overs.

Players who were shown the exit door include the likes of Vusi Sibiya, Gregory Damons, Keegan Allan, and Keenan Phillips.

Moroka Swallows lawyer Lerumo Thobejane has confirmed that Andile Jali has also parted ways with the club.

"Based on the recommendations of the disciplinary hearing, all the 28 players were dismissed," Thobejane tells KickOff.

Swallows have resumed training this week, and as previously reported by KickOff last week, the club is understood to be ready to resume the DStv Premiership and are believed to have enough players for their clash against Cape Town City on 13 February.
