OFFICIAL | Swallows swoop as club confirm new addition

Swallows have confirmed the signing of Tanzanian midfielder David Ulomi as the Dube Birds continue to strengthen the nest following the lifting of a transfer ban.

The 23-year-old joins the Dube Birds on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The move follows the recruitment of defender Bongani Sam on loan from Orlando Pirates after his time at Maritzburg United was cut short. Sam will stay with the Dube Birds until the end of the season.

The Soweto-based side is ramping up is recruitment following the lifting a FIFA transfer ban that saw the club unable to register new players in the last windows.

Subsequently, Swallows missed out on player such as Promise Mkhuma, who has since returned to Sundowns and is going on loan to All Stars.

Swallows are however, still expected to announce the signing former Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi.

The Dube Birds find themselves in the relegation battle, sitting in position 15 with just four wins from18 matches. The side will look to climb up the DStv Premiership table when they face second-placed Richards Bay on Friday night.
