Jali set for new role at Swallows

Midfielder Andile Jali could be set for a new role at Moroka Swallows at the end of his playing career.

Jali joined Swallows at the beginning of the season from Mamelodi Sundowns. The former Bafana Bafana midfielder was also handed the armband soon after signing with the Dube Birds.

Jali took charge as a coach of the Dube Birds' reserve team recently.

The 33-year-old midfielder was once regarded as a fourth assistant coach at Sundowns by coach Rulani Mokwena.

Now, it looks like midfielder Andile Jali is starting to prepare for life after playing football.

"It's nothing hectic. It was just a good experience for AJ to train with the boys. He is still much focused on his career at Swallows," said a official at Swallows.

Andile Jali's contract with Moroka Swallows is set to expire in June next year. However, he has an option to extend it for a further year.
