Andile Mpisane scores R40 000 Balenciaga kicks

Royal AM chairman Andile Mpisane has taken to social media to show off his new collection of shoes from the luxury brand Balenciaga. Take a look!

What Happened?

The brand came a long way since it was founded in 1917 by Cristobal Balenciaga in Bilbao, Spain. For decades now, the name has been around but it did not have the impact as profound as some of its counterparts like Gucci, Versace and Christian Dior.

However, their range of clothes and shoes for men have seemingly become a very popular brand among South African footballers with Lebogang Phiri, George Lebese, Gaston Sirino and many more all regularly buying themselves items from the label's dapper drip collection.

This time it was Mpisane who caught the eye when he swapped his usual Gucci flexes for something different, three new pairs of Balenciaga kicks and a top.

What makes his sneakers special? Well in true Royal AM fashion, these trio of shoes are some of the more expensive items on their website. The dark green shoes are reportedly valued at $1 040 (R15 878), according to Accuweather.com

His neon green shoes are a bit more expensive as they are seemingly worth $1 599 (R24 402), according to goat.com, while his brightest shoe value remains unknown.

To go with his shoes, the self-proclaimed youngest DStv chairman wore a destroyed purple hoodie valued at R19 024, per the brand's official website.

Did you know?

Local media reports that Mpisane got a Mercedes G-Wagon on his 16th birthday.

Your thoughts, please?

What do you think of the Balenciaga drip?
