Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic brushes off Orlando Pirates' slump in results

The last time Pirates registered a victory was on September 19 when they edged Cape Town City 1-0 at FNB Stadium.

They have since recorded one defeat and three draws, most recently playing to a goalless stalemate with Kaizer Chiefs at the same venue this past weekend.

Sredojevic said their main problem has been a failure to convert chances and insists he is working hard to solve that.

“It is true that we haven’t won in four matches but I am not worried,” Sredojevic said.

“We are introducing a new set-up that we want to build our house in a way that we have an identity.

"We dominated our last four games, but the only thing that was missing was converting the chances we created.

"In a marathon called the league, you have some bad patches but the most important thing is collecting the odd point here and there while you build your momentum.

“I am convinced that we will start to get wins. The performances that we have displayed are injecting us with immense confidence. We will continue playing our way. The results will come,” concluded the Serbian.

Bucs are third on the Premiership table with 14 points from nine games - a point less than second-placed Golden Arrows, who they will meet in the last-16 of the Telkom Knockout at Princess Magogo Stadium on Saturday (15h30).

Baroka top the league standings with 15 points.
