Tokelo Rantie upbeat about shoulder injury

Rantie came on as a subtitute in his club side's 2-2 draw with Ipswich Town in the English Championship, but unfortunately only lasted a couple of minutes before he needed to be stretchered off.

However, the on-form striker has revealed that the injury is not as serious as first suspected, and is awaiting an MRI scan to confirm the severity.

"I dislocated my shoulder yesterday, it was out of the joint but they managed to bring it back together," Rantie tells snl24.com/kickoff.

"Luckily I won't need to have an operation done because it was the first time this has happened, and the damage was not that serious.

"Tomorrow I'm going to do an MRI scan to see exactly how long the injury will take [to heal]," he adds.

The 24-year-old also says that the pain is not as bad, and hopes to be back in action as soon as possible.

"I'm home now [after being discharged from hospital]. At least the pain is not so bad and I can move and rotate my shoulder in different directions," concludes Rantie.
