Bafana Bafana attacker Percy Tau delivered a Man of the Match performance as Al Ahly defeated Al Ittihad to move even closer to lifting the Egyptian Premier League title.
Ali Maaloul opened the scoring as early as the tenth minute before Percy Tau smartly set up Kahraba for the second just three minutes later. Al Ahly managed the match well to see out what may be a crucial victory in the race for the league title.

With the win, The Red Devils have placed one hand on the league trophy, stretching their lead at the top of the log table to eight points above title competitors Pyramids.
Al Ahly now need just five points from their remaining games to secure the title in what is now a two-horse race at the summit against Pyramids. Additionally, Al Ahly also have two games in hand over their rivals.

For Tau, the assist was a sixth of the season and 15th direct goal contribution for ta player who former Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane insists is the best player on the African continent.
"I always say that he (Tau) is the best player in Africa, you can say no and (but) you need to argue with me why," Mosimane told SNL24.
"Who is the [CAF Champions League] champion? he is the champion of Africa so why is he not the best? How many trophies? everyone says, 'ah you took him to Al Ahly,' do you see the trophies he's won at Al Ahly? how many did he win at Brighton? he was hardly even in the team."
Up next for Tau and Co is a clash against third-placed Zamalek on Thursday.
Kick off is at 19:30 (SA time).
