The defensive midfielder, who came through the Sundowns youth system, has signed a one-year deal with his new side after spending two years with AD Alcorcón in Spain’s lower leagues.

In a statement on the club’s official channels, Patro Eisden wrote: "After making his league debut last Saturday in the 2-1 win against KSC Lokeren, the South African is now officially a Koempel!

"The 23-year-old central midfielder joins from Spanish side AD Alcorcón."

Head coach Stijn Stijnen added: "Muhammad made a very good impression on us.

"He is a player with an excellent mentality and football ability. His baptism of fire against KSC Lokeren went well."

Carrim’s career began in the Bidvest Wits reserves before he moved to the Sundowns youth ranks.

He then had a brief spell at Black Leopards before joining Mahlangu Tigers.

In April 2023, he moved to Spain and has been playing abroad ever since.
