Dino Ndlovu continued his comeback from injury when he played for his Israeli side Maccabi Haifa on Sunday

Ndlovu missed out on the opportunity to play at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after he was injured in late November and only returned to playing with a goal in a Cup win for his side in mid-week.

It was his sixth goal in nine starts for Haifa, but he could not help them avoid a 2-0 defeat against former side Bnei Yehuda on Sunday.

There was once again no place in the Feyenoord match-day squad for Kamohelo Mokotjo, who it was revealed missed out on a deadline day move to ADO Den Haag after his club refused to release him.

On Saturday, Darren Keet was in goal as Kortrijk claimed a 2-1 home win over Mechelen that takes them above their opponents and into seventh in the Belgian League.

Daylon Claasen played his third game in a row for struggling Lierse as they were held 1-1 by Lokeren in a match that saw both sides finish the game with 10 men. Ayanda Patosi was missing for Lokeren as he spends the rest of the season recovering from knee surgery.

Steven Pienaar played for Everton as they came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 at home to Aston Villa, a result that put a dent in their hopes of qualifying for the Uefa Champions League next season.

There was no place for Bafana striker Davide Somma in the Leeds United match-day squad as they lost at home to English Championship leaders Cardiff City.

Meanwhile, Oldham Athletic will be delighted to have Dean Furman back from Africa Cup of Nations duty after they lost their fourth League match in a row and are now just one place above the relegation zone in the English third-tier.

But it was not soon enough to save the job of Oldham coach Paul Dickov, who resigned on Saturday evening.

Finally, Cheyne Fowler played for his Finnish side VPS as they were held 1-1 at FF Jaro in the pre-season Liiga Cup.
