Zungu made his second consecutive appearance for Amiens II on Saturday when he featured for the full 90 minutes during a resounding 4-0 defeat to promotion-chasing Wasquehal in the Championnat National 3.
The Bafana Bafana international has played the last two matches for the club's reserves as he inches closer to his return to the first team, having not played for the senior side since his return from loan at Rangers at the start of the season.
However, the 29-year-old was unable to prevent his side from suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of Wasquehal who raced to a three-goal lead in the opening 15 minutes, before putting the tie to bed in the second half.
Despite the result, Buron was pleased that Zungu was able to complete the full 90 minutes and stressed that it was impossible for the former Mamelodi Sundowns player to change the outcome of the match on his own.
"On playing time, it's a good sign, yes," Buron said, per Le11 Amienois. "Unfortunately for him, he was caught in the collective shipwreck [against Wasquehal].
"He is professional but that doesn't mean he's going to get us out of a complicated situation on his own. He did the 90 minutes, ran, did good things, others less on the difficult ground for a recovery like at Le Touquet [last week]."
With Amiens II not playing again for a month, Buron also suggested that the first-team coaching staff now had a decision on their hands with regards to Zungu's potential reintegration into the senior squad.
"For him, it's a game taken, it's a good thing. Afterwards, the [first-team] staff will make their decision on the rest because we don't play anymore [this year]," he added.
"There remains a cup match, and another league game for them, but it is good for him to complete a second match without physical problems."
