Siyethemba Sithebe's Bafana call-up delights AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu

AmaZulu's new president Sandile Zungu is proud and excited to see one of the club's star players starting his first Bafana Bafana game today.

Siyethemba Sithebe was called up to the national team for the first time and has been thrown straight into coach Molefi Ntseki's starting eleven for the friendly against Namibia today (18h00).

The 27-year-old was rewarded for his stellar performances during the 2019/20 season after overseas star Kurt Abrahams had to withdraw from the squad.

His new billionaire chairman said as Usuthu they are very proud and expect to produce more players for the national teams.

"We are proud of Sithebe and we hope to see at least four players from the club getting these call-ups," Zungu said in a radio interview.

"We believe AmaZulu FC should be having more players in the national team and we will keep on working hard to produce more."

The talented midfielder, who has been among the AmaZulu players linked with a move away from the club, said he is determined to make an impression at Royal Bafokeng Stadium.

"The feeling is great, I don't want to lie, because I've been waiting for too long to get a call-up," Sithebe said.

"I'm so happy and I'm out of words. Playing for for the national team there's a lot I will bring and learn. I will play my normal game and make sure the team benefits from me."
