A new - look Bafana came from behind to beat the Cranes 3 - 2 in an international friendly at Orlando Stadium on Thursday evening.
With coach Hugo Broos and his first assistant not present, his second assistant Helman Mkhalele was in charge of the bench.
When asked if he was impressed with the new team which had a very few big-name players, Igesund replied, "Ja look I think it was mostly just to put a team together to play a game now that the coach was away.
"So he'll comeback now then we'll have to see what's going on. But you know, our senior national team has got to be lot stronger than that. I just think the coach have to get to know the players very quickly. Because there's a lot of good players that have been left out.
"I think he's got to start fresh (Broos when he returns) and he's got to give those players a chance, and pick his (own) team, he knows how he wants them to play. Remember the Bafana coach he wasn't here, so it was just a game.
"Let's give a chance, let's see what will happen. There's a lot of good players that have been left out and for what reason? let's see what happens going forward. I think it was just a game that Bafana played, there was no meaning to it. What did we achieve from this game? He's got to pick a 'Bafana Bafana Team', we are going to the qualifiers soon so we need to be ready you know."
