FIFA World rankings: Bafana Bafana's latest position revealed

Bafana Bafana's latest world ranking has been revealed following the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Ghana.

The South African national team returned to international duty earlier this month where Hugo Broos' side recorded a goalless draw against Zimbabwe and a 1-0 victory over Ghana in their opening two qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Bafana Bafana's impressive performances had little impact on the nation's global standing, however, as the boys in gold and green remain 73rd in FIFA's latest world ranking, retaining their position from last month.

South Africa is currently enjoying an 11-match unbeaten streak dating back to November last year and will be in action again early next month when Broos' charges take on Ethiopia in a double-header in the next round of qualifiers.

Elsewhere, Senegal remains Africa's highest-ranked nation after climbing one spot to 20th, while Belgium are still the world's highest-ranked football team overall, having held the top spot for more than two years now.
