Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Ranga Chivaviro is understood to be edging closer to joining a new club in the PSL.
Chivavriro has been a free agent since his exit from Kaizer Chiefs at the end of June. Amakhosi had opted against triggering an optional extension on the back of a two-year agreement.

The bulky striker left the Soweto giants with nine goals and a single assist to his name from his 45 appearances across the two seasons.
The striker himself would not look back proudly on his Chiefs stint. Chivaviro had joined Amakhosi on the back of an incredible season with Marumo Gallants, during which he had netted an impressive 17 goals across all competitions.
With the new season already underway, Chivaviro is understood to be on the verge of joining Chippa United.

The move would present the 31-year-old with a golden chance to silence his doubters, at a club he is likely to enjoy regular game-time.
The Chilli Boys are bottom of the table with four losses from their five matches in the Betway Premiership. They have scored just two goals this season and conceded a massive 10.
They may have Chivaviro in their artillery when they return to action on Orbit College on Tuesday, 16 September.
