Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila confirm new club name and logo - TTM Grand Reveal

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila Football Club have confirmed they have been renamed the club to Marumo Gallants with a fresh new logo ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The announcement from the Nedbank Cup champions was made on Thursday morning in Sandton, Johannesburg as they look to usher the club into a new era under the ownership of Dr Abraham Sello.

Sello acquired the club following their highly-publicised financial struggles under Lawrence Mulaudzi upon acquiring the top-flight status of Bidvest Wits.

From players taking the club to court for not receiving settlements after rejecting the move from the now-defunct Wits, to having just 13 registered players in their season opener, to protests over unpaid wages. It appeared an institution in disarray.

But Sello's arrival and the decision to lure coach Dylan Kerr to the club has turned around their fortunes towards retaining their top-flight status and silverware in their debut top-flight campaign.

And moving further, the club will now be known as Marumo Gallants as they start a 'new journey' as a club.

"We've finished 12th in the DStv Premiership and proud champions of the Nedbank Cup and when we played the final game against Orlando Pirates - we closed a chapter of this club," Sello said at the 'Grand Reveal'.

"The new name of the club is inspired by the journey that has been rough outside the field but also made us experience victory and tribute to the soldiers of our team. We're ready to fight to make this brand bigger."
