Cape Town City have secured the long-term future of star midfielder Thato Mokeke.
Mokeke has committed his future to Cape Town City until the end of the 2023/24 season after penning a new two-year contract extension with the Citizens.
"The club is delighted to announce that Thato Mokeke has signed a new deal which will see his existing contract extended by a further 2 years. Congratulations Keke!" City said in a statement on Wednesday.

The central defender's new deal comes as a boost for the Cape-based side who were believed to have been at risk of losing the 31-year-old at the end of the season, with his previous deal set to have expired upon the conclusion of the campaign.
His extension also comes just weeks after the club tied down captain Thami Mkhize on a similar deal, ensuring that the spine of Eric Tinkler's defence remains intact for the foreseeable future.
Mokeke has made 20 appearances across all competitions for the Citizens this season, and is just nine appearances away from reaching the 100-game milestone for the club across all competitions.
