SuperSport United defender Luke Fleurs has opened up on reports linking him with a move to Kaizer Chiefs next season.
Fleurs, 21, has emerged as one of the most promising defenders on the continent since joining SuperSport from Ubuntu FC in Cape Town - which has produced several standout talents in recent years.
The towering centre-back slotted in the Matsantsansa back-four this season under head coach Kaitano Tembo which saw veteran South Africa international Clayton Daniels move on to Maritzburg United.
But the meteoric rise that has seen him drafted into the U-23 national team and poised for a place in David Notoane's Olympic squad has reportedly seen Chiefs take interest in possibly luring him to Naturena.
Fleurs admits it's complimentary to hear of the interest and has opened to door to a 'bigger move' should an opportunity arise to further his career.
Fleurs was one of two SA talents named in the recent IFFHS CAF-20 Team of the Year - see the full team in the gallery below
"I don't know anything about Chiefs, they haven't contacted me and my agent hasn't said anything, I'm just going with the flow at SuperSport here," he admitted to snl24.com/kickoff.
"I've read things online and on social media but I nothing from the club or agent, if something comes, something bigger, you never know maybe I will be open to it.
"I would never say no for something bigger, an overseas move is obviously something [I think about] but obviously going to the Olympics is another goal and try to get seen there and see what happens from there.
"If offers come, they come, if it doesn't, unlucky."
Fleurs scored twice in 32 appearances across all competitions for SuperSport since making his first-team debut in November 2018.
