News reaching this website suggests SuperSport United have agreed to sell their Premier Soccer League status to BidVest.
At the end of last season the BidVest Group sold their Premiership status to Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila due to financial reasons.
According to a very reliable, source talks between SuperSport and BidVest are at an advanced stage and an announcement could be made at the end of the 2020/21 season.
"Supersport sold the status," a source informs snl24.com/kickoff.
"At the moment it's very confidential. They've sold to the very same BidVest company that sold theirs to TTM. SuperSport are in dispute about money because now they sponsor the PSL and MultiChoice Diski Challenge.
"When the season finishes they will announce it. The negotiations are done, SuperSport will be sold. The money that DStv is spending on PSL and MDC is making it difficult for them to afford running the club."
Contacted for comment, club CEO Stan Matthews insists the stories are not true.
"I can't keep commenting on the same old stories that come without a source or owner," Matthews says.
"Every week it's either a player moving or club being sold. The club is not being sold and neither are any of my players, unless their international buyout clauses are met."
It is worth noting that clubs have never come out to confirm such news ahead of time.
Most recently, Bidvest Wits and Highlands Park both denied their respective club sales only for the deals to be concluded at a later date.
