Amakhosi twice surrendered their lead over Amazayoni as proceedings ended 2-2 at the Mbombela Stadium, and the visitors had to settle for just a point.
The visitors shown great impetuous from the first whistle and were deserved leaders at the break. They then fought back to restore their lead before evntually conceding late on.
Despite picking up the Man of the Match award, the 31-year-old attacker conceded that Aces' stoppage time goal was his fault after he was disposessed on the other end of the picth.
"I think it was a great game of football. We showed hunger; we were very determined from the first minute and we created a lot of chances," 'Shabba' told SuperSport after the match.
"I've left the team down in the last minute, and we got caught open in the midfield, and they got the equaliser.
"But overall I think we did well and I owe it to the team."
With four changes to the line-up, the former Free State Stars winger insists the coach is not to blame for the recent spate of results, and says the players need to shoulder some of the responisibilty as well.
"There is chemistry in the team; there is unity in the team. With the game we played, we cannot blame the coach," he added.
"Us players took the responsibility that when we lose or draw, we all take the stick; not the coach.
"We have to protect the coach by bringing in positive results, and I think we should have won tonight. We were a bit unlucky with the draw."
