Preview: Kaizer Chiefs vs AmaZulu

Chiefs, who are seven points clear at the summit with six games left, returned to winning form in the League when they defeated Moroka Swallows 3-0 away last month.

The Soweto side is unbeaten at home this season, with eight wins and four draws from 12 matches.

Their next three League opponents are University of Pretoria (away), Polokwane City (home) and Mamelodi Sundowns (away).

The Amakhosi are placed first on the Absa Premiership log with 54 points from 24 matches.

AmaZulu extended their unbeaten run to five matches when they beat Free State Stars 1-0 on Saturday.

The Durban side has claimed 10 points from 13 away matches this season.

Their next three League opponents are Polokwane City, Platinum Stars and SuperSport United (all home).

Usuthu are placed 16th on the Absa Premiership log with 20 points from 24 matches.

In head-to-head statistics, Chiefs and AmaZulu have met in 51 League matches since 1985.

The Amakhosi have 32 wins compared to seven for Usuthu, while 12 matches have been drawn.

Chiefs have won 19 of their 26 home matches against AmaZulu, suffering just two defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, a brace from George Lebese saw the Amakhosi claim a 2-1 win in Durban.
