Pitso Mosimane: I told Rhulani Mokwena to stay where trophies are at Mamelodi Sundowns

Pitso Mosimane has advised his assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena to remain with the 10-time PSL winners and think hard about ever leaving again.

Mosimane delivered his fifth Absa Premiership trophy to the cabinet at Chloorkop after beating Black Leopards 3-0 on a pulsating final day of the season on Saturday.

The trophy celebration also marked the return of Mokwena after he left the club three years ago to join Orlando Pirates, where he failed to win anything before returning to The Brazilians this year.

Mosimane thanked his players and his entire technical team for the club's success this season.

"I want to thank the people who won the trophy, the players of course, and I want to thank the Yellow Nation for always being on the road wherever we play," said Mosimane after his team were crowned league champions at Dobsonville Stadium.

"They've always been there. This is dedicated to them as they have always been there for us.

"I want to thank my entire technical. I said to Rhulani he is an angel, he has got a lot of luck. And I said to him please don't miss many trophies again, stay where the trophies are.

"I want to thank the entire technical team from the analysts to scouts to everybody who supported me during a difficult time."

'Jingles' also singled out Brazilians president Patrice Motsepe for his support towards making sure the club achieves success on the field of play.

"Of course I must not forget to thank the board of Mamelodi Sundowns. Dr Patrice Motsepe, without his support we should not fool ourselves, the support he gives and the resources he provides helps us to be able to win trophies."
