Orlando Pirates target CAF Confederation Cup qualification for 2020/21

Pirates will play their third match since the season's restart when they face Baroka at Emirates Airline Park this evening (kick-off at 18h00).

Trailing log leaders Kaizer Chiefs by 10 points at present, The Buccaneers are currently in third position with 42 points from 25 games played.

Club skipper Happy Jele believes securing their current spot and booking a place in next season's CAF Confederation Cup is still well on the cards, despite failing to win any of their last four matches.

"Orlando Pirates is a big brand and want to compete for each and every trophy in the league and continent," Jele told the media ahead of Tuesday's clash.

"Obviously we are looking for that, but for now I think since we had this difficult Covid-19, it's very important for us to just go all out in these remaining games and try to finish on a high note.

"Obviously the brand itself wants to play in Africa and we want to be there, so we just have to finish in a good position right now.

"We still believe we can get a spot [for CAF football], we just have to try and win all our remaining games and get the spot."
