In a top-of-the-table clash, Aces needed a stoppage-time brace from Judas Mosemaedi to rescue a point after Ndumiso Mabena struck twice from the spot at Mbombela Stadium.
Ertugral said: "First half, we were not there. I don't know what it was but it wasn't our team.
"Our team was the second half team, with that fighting spirit. What we said is if we lose, we lose with dignity, with a fighting spirit to get back into the game.
"We changed our patterns a bit and it worked for us."
He added: "I think the fighting spirit is what makes me very proud."
