Mpho Makola claims to have acted in self-defence in shoving incident

As reported by snl24.com/kickoff last week, the matter was listened to on Thursday, 11 November and will resume on 23 November 2021.

Makola faces a six-month ban after he was shown on TV images to shove a match official during the Citizen's defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 final.

According to the PSL prosecutor Nande Becker, the player argues that he was acting under self-defence.
