Swallows and Chiefs played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday at FNB Stadium and Baloyi, who scored the Birds’ goal and was named Man of the Match, says they never intended to sit back in the match despite many predicting a Chiefs win.
Baloyi reflects: “We knew that this was the sort of game that will show people that we can match teams like Kaizer Chiefs that have good structures, even though we’ve been losing games. We knew Chiefs is a team that attacks so we had to counter attack without being nervous and make sure that they feel that we are in the match.”
Swallows are now 12th on the log with 10 points from nine matches, while Chiefs remain top of the standings with 25 points from as many matches.
