Mario Booysen training with AmaZulu

snl24.com/kickoff can confirm that Mario Booysen has resurfaced at AmaZulu with the hope of landing a deal.

Booysen was amongst the players who were axed by Kaizer Chiefs as they refreshed their squad in the off-season after a poor 2018/19 campaign.

The former SuperSport United, Maritzburg United, Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town stalwart started training with Usuthu on Wednesday.

AmaZulu media officer Brilliant Mkhathini confirms there is the possibility of signing the 31-year-old as they look to beef up their defence.

"Who told you that? Yes, he's training with us, started yesterday. The coach [Josef Vukusic] is looking at him," Mkhathini tells snl24.com/kickoff.

Vukuzic will be hoping the next three weeks will help him get used to the club and allow him to implement his philosophy as he looks to help Usuthu climb the log.
