The Zimbabwean striker has now scored four goals in the four games he has played for his club How Mine, continuing with the form that saw him score six goals in as many games in the CAF Confederation Cup prior to his club’s elimination from the competition.
So far this year Musharu has played 10 games for his club and scored as many goals, showing just how much of a predatory striker he is.
The 27-year-old spent a week training with Usuthu in April but the Durban club is still to make a formal commitment about whether they will be signing him.
Gibson Mahachi, the player’s agent, says he has advised Musharu to focus on his club duties in the meantime.
“We haven’t received anything formal from AmaZulu as yet so I am not sure what is going to happen. The last time they mentioned something to do with wanting to have more time to see him," says Mahachi.
"For now the boy is focusing on his club duties because he is contracted to How Mine where he has a job to do, which is to score goals."
Though AmaZulu have already signed Zambian forward Bornwell Mwape, they remain in the hunt for a reliable goal poacher.
