In this edition of In The Spotlight, KickOff catches up with former Kaizer Chiefs and Jomo Cosmos centre-back Mokete Tsotetsi.
Tsotetsi also reveals his preferred legend between the legendary Jomo Sono and the legendary Mlungisi Ngubane.
Your best ever South African soccer player?
"Cyril Nzama. He's a quality player and at the same time versatile. He can play as a right back and he can play as a centre-back. I know first hand the character and the leadership qualities he has."
Was he your role model?
"No, my role model is Lucas Radebe."
Kaizer Chiefs or Jomo Cosmos?
"Now you are killing me. I'd say Kaizer Chiefs because it's a team I grew up supporting. Remember when you grew up Chiefs was the easiest name to pronounce, even though we would say 'chips'. Those days they were followed by everyone.
"I chose to start at Cosmos because I could see that's where I could fit in perfectly. That's how I chose Cosmos."
ANC or EFF?
"ANC obviously [laughs], even though I rarely vote. I have been disappointed a lot."
SAFA or PSL?
"The Premier Soccer League, they run their business very well. The structure is perfect at the PSL. The leadership is there even though challenges will always be there."
Jomo Sono or Professor Ngubane?
"Aah...obvious Mjomana. He's the best of all time."
Which player used to give you sleepless nights?
"Mabhudi Khenyeza. That one was a problem physically, he had speed, in preparation to coming up against him I had to work extra hard. To stop him you needed to work even more harder because he never gave up trying to score."
Which PSL player was the easiest to play against?
"Yoh! In our era there was never an easy striker or attacker. Every team had that one problematic striker."
Anything you dislike about the game?
"Politics are taking over the game."
