Davids has been identified as one of the leading candidates to take over as head coach at SuperSport United.

The Buccaneers announced on Friday that it had parted company with Davids who served as a co-coach for the 2021/22 season after replacing German tactician Josef Zinnbauer.

United are currently in the process of identifying a new head coach for next season after the sacking of Kaitano Tembo earlier in the season.

According to sources within the club, SuperSport has now earmarked Davids for next season.

"The club has identified their coach for next season," a club insider reveals to KickOff.

"Fadlu Davids is being earmarked to take over as the club's new coach at SuperSport United.

"It is still at a relatively early stage with negotiations having just begun in the hopes of making an appointment soon."
