That number includes Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile who has scored a league-high 15 goals this term, which is more individually than both Swallows FC (11) and Baroka FC (13) have scored all together.
Royal AM's Victor Letsoalo is his team's leading scorer with 11 goals which makes him the highest-scoring South African player in the division, with his nearest competitor in that category being Marumo Gallants' Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo (7).
Meanwhile, in Soweto, Namibia international Deon Hotto has been Orlando Pirates' star-turn this season with six goals to his name, which is matched by Keagan Dolly and Khama Billiat at cross-town rivals Kaizer Chiefs.
A return of six goals appears to be a popular number as former Bafana Bafana striker Thamsanqa Gabuza boasts the same tally for SuperSport United, Luvuyo Memela, Ashley Du Preez and Mduduzu Mdantsane have half a dozen for AmaZulu, Stellenbosch FC and Cape Town City, respectively.
Nigerian striker Chibuike Ohizu has scored an impressive seven goals in just 14 games for Sekhukhune United, but that tally drops off significantly among the league's other teams, with Maritzburg United, TS Galaxy, Baroka FC and Swallows all struggling for goals.
