'Chiefs have experience and talent' says Siphiwe Tshabalala

'Shabba' is back in the reckoning for Chiefs after fully recovering from a knee injury, and has had the international break to build up his fitness further.

The 29-year-old explains that there are good reasons why Chiefs have begun the season so well – with five wins out of five so far in the Absa Premiership – and sees no reason why that should change.

"The team is loaded with experienced and talented players. We have been playing well and the results have been positive. That is a good thing because it allows us to kill two birds with one stone," explains Shabba on his official website.

“We are improving as players because of the determination and it then gives the coach a lot of options.”

Bernard Parker is also back in contention for a starting place after recovering from an ankle operation, but Itumeleng Khune, Katlego Mphela and Siyabonga Nkosi remain sidelined through injury.

"We are professionals,’ adds Tshabalala on the Chiefs website. "We will approach the game against AmaTuks like any other. There are three points at stake and, as a result, we are highly focused.

"Only when the AmaTuks match is out of the way will we start focusing on the cup [MTN8 Final against Orlando Pirates] next week."

Kick-off at FNB Stadium for Chiefs vs Tuks is at 15h00.
