CAF Champions League Final Orlando Pirates Al Ahly fans fight for tickets

"The main problem is that the cheaper tickets are sold first and as they finish, the more expensive ones are made available," one fan says.

"Everyone wants to go to the stadium, but there are two problems: the stadium is not big enough and the other problem is that people can't afford the more expensive tickets so they are fighting to be first to get the tickets.

The situation was exacerbated when the supporters were informed that they had to wait two hours for the first batch of tickets.

According to Ahly's media officer Mohamed Geber, the Cairo-based venue has a capacity of 35 000 but only 25 000 tickets will be sold for safety reasons.

Ticket prices range from 25 to 250 Egyptian pounds (R37 - R372).

The clubs drew the first leg of the Final 1-1 in Soweto last weekend.
