BREAKING: Maritzburg United announce three new signings

Maritzburg United have unveiled the club's four new singings ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The signings are Given Mashikinya, Bonginkosi Makume, Bongani Sam and Karim Kimvuidi who all have begun training with the club.

Mashikinya joins from neighbours and rivals Royal AM, in the footsteps of current Maritzburg United coach John Maduka who resigned from AM last month.

Meanwhile, the announcement also brings an end to a drawn-out transfer saga for former Baroka captain Bonginkosi Makume.The 26y-ear-old was heavily linked with a move to Durban with AmaZulu, then to Sekhukhune United before Maritzburg United was able to secure his signature on a three-year contract.

Bongani Sam joins on loan from Orlando Pirates in the hopes of getting more game time. He was also previously linked with a move to AmaZulu under Benni McCarthy who has confessed to being a big admirer of the 24-year-old defender.

Karim Kimvuidi is the youngest among the new signings. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joins from DC Motema Pembe and has made 6 appearances in the CAF Confederations Cup.
