Amos, who last year made contact with SAFA over representing South Africa and who was assessed as a goalkeeping option by Orlando Pirates, is a free agent after leaving Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The 28-year-old is training with Mouscron-Peruwelz and played for them in a 4-0 friendly win earlier this week.
He is looking to relaunch his career outside of Israel, where he won the league title, gained experience of playing in the UEFA Champions League and was a regular pick for the Israeli national team squads, though he never won an official cap.
It means the Johannesburg-born gloveman would be available to Bafana if they see him as an option, but he will first need to find a new club and begin playing regularly again.
Amos was close to joining top Romanian side Rapid Bucharest in January, but the move broke down just as he was due to be unveiled after the club and Hapoel could not reach an agreement on the transfer fee.
Born in Vanderbijlpark, Amos spent seven years with Israeli side Ironi Kiryat Shmona, where he won the league championship in the 2011/12 season, playing a starring role in that triumph.
He was in fact voted the Israel Football Association Player of the Year at the end of that campaign.
He moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv in 2013, but long made known his ambition to play in a European league and fell out of favour at the club, despite still being regarded as one of the top keepers in Israel.
Should he move to Belgium he will join fellow South Africans Darren Keet (KV Kortrijk), Anele Ngcongca (Genk), Andile Jali (KV Oostende) and Ayanda Patosi (Lokeren) in the Jupiler League.
