Orlando Pirates have announced the surprise exit of midfielder Lesedi Kapinga after the dribbling wizard spent one season with the Soweto giants.
The news was confirmed via a brief and blunt statement published on the official Orlando Pirates website.
According to the statement, the decision was the outcome of a meeting held on Tuesday morning.

"Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Lesedi Kapinga for the early release of his contract," read the statement.
"Both parties have agreed to amicably part ways following a meeting earlier today.
"On behalf of the extended Orlando Pirates family, we would like to thank Lesedi for his time at the Club and we wish him all the best for the future."

Kapinga had joined the Buccaneers on a two-year deal ahead of the 2023/24 season after leaving Mamelodi Sundowns.
However, playing time proved hard to come by for the former Black Leopards star.
Kapinga made just 13 appearances, contributed a single assist and was unable to find the back of the net during his time with the side.
The Rosettenville-based outfit is still expected to make further changes to the squad with striker Zakhele Lepasa and midfielder Katlego Otladisa among those who could be in search of playing time elsewhere.
The PSL transfer window will slam shut on Friday, 20 September.
