Following his Man-of-the-Match display against Chippa United on Sunday, Oswin Appollis has shared his reaction, while also revealing a key message from head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
Pirates made light work of Chippa with an emphatic 3-0 win at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, with goals coming from Patrick Maswanganyi, Deon Hotto, and Tshepang Moremi.

The star of the show, though, was Appollis, who assisted in two of the goals and walked away with the Man of the Match award.
The victory is a third in five outings for the Soweto giants, who seem to have shaken off their poor start to the campaign.
Another man who has shaken off talk from naysayers is Ouaddou, who has steadily guided the side not only to positive league form but also to an MTN8 final scheduled for 13 September.
Speaking to the club’s media after the match, Appollis touched on the crucial role played by the Moroccan-Frenchman in the dressing room.
"These were very important three points for us today. I think everyone fought hard on the pitch, and I’m really happy we got the win," said the former Polokwane City man.
"I also want to thank the coach for reminding us in the dressing room that we had to press them high, because one or two of our goals came from winning the ball in their own half.

"I’m happy to receive the Man of the Match award, but the credit goes to my teammates. Without them, this wouldn’t have been possible. Lastly, I want to thank the fans in Gqeberha for coming out in numbers today.
"The atmosphere was amazing, and it felt really good to see their support everywhere," he continued.
Pirates are now fifth on the log.
