Siyabonga Ngezana and 11 others suspended for Nedbank Cup Last 32

Kaizer Chiefs are among nine PSL clubs that have been dealt selection blows ahead of this weekend's Nedbank Cup Last 32 fixtures.

Nedbank Cup action will take centre stage this weekend with a total of 14 fixtures scheduled between Thursday afternoon and Monday evening.

Chiefs will be up against GladAfrica Championship title contenders Richards Bay FC on Sunday evening (17h00), but will be without the services of key defender Siyabonga Ngezana.

This after the 23-year-old, who has sat out just five of his side's 22 matches so far this season, picked up a fourth yellow card of the campaign in their Soweto Derby defeat at the weekend.

Amakhosi have had to chop and change in their defence in recent matches, with the likes of Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Erick Mathoho having been missing through injury and compassionate leave respectively.

An update on both Mphahlele and Mathoho is expected ahead of their weekend encounter at FNB Stadium.

Meanwhile, JDR Stars will miss Temptation Chiwunga when they face University of Pretoria on Saturday afternoon (15h00) and Bloemfontein Celtic's Ronald Pfumbidzai remains suspended against Cape Town City after seeing red for the second time this season against TTM recently.

Chippa United will be against a Free State Stars side that won't feature Sello Jaftha on Sunday, while Ethan Sampson and Sibongiseni Mthethwa will sit out against Jomo Cosmos, who are also minus Lehlohonolo Mtshali.

Swallows FC will also be missing duo Wandisile Letlabika and Tlakusani Mthethwa when they take on Cape Umoya United, with Baroka set to battle Cape Town Spurs without Goodman Mosele and Basil Mphahlele.
